Oyu Green is leading a transformative reforestation initiative under the Greening India Mission, targeting 10,000 hectares of degraded land across India. This ambitious project aims to combat climate change, enhance biodiversity, and uplift rural communities by combining large-scale environmental restoration with social impact.
Reforesting for a Sustainable Future
The Greening India Mission focuses on reforesting degraded landscapes with native plant species, sequestering an estimated 20 million tonnes of CO₂ over its lifetime. This effort directly supports India’s climate goals under the Paris Agreement while creating critical habitats for wildlife and restoring ecosystems.

Social impact is a cornerstone of the mission. By creating over 80 jobs, the project has provided sustainable livelihoods for rural communities, reducing poverty and promoting environmental stewardship.
